Moonlight
Upon your waking moonlit face
I hurl my desecrated gaze
And gazing leave a tainted trace
Of my attempts to solve the maze
Within its mocking corners dead
The hungry beast devours my dreams
And when the final word is said
My blood will flow in mighty streams
Flesh and spirit will be consumed
And on deaf ears will fall my screams
‘Neath slabs of stone I’ll be entombed
To ponder heinous epistemes
